Why Investors Should Seek Social Transformation

The “Social” component of the ESG equation remains the least understood – and likely the most undervalued by investors.  However this element brings with it unprecedented opportunities to unleash workforce potential and drive business and social transformation.  What is the value of the “social” element and what is the relationship between social transformation, mitigation of workforce risk, and talent development?  This relationship will be explored through the approach of Transformative Community InvolvementTM and how it is has led to excellent results in the workplace and in communities.  Quantitative and qualitative data will be presented including business, social, and environmental impact data.  Examples of 13 multi-sector transformative partnership projects will be shared from 12 countries supporting 4 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The intention is:

1) to pique investor interest in exploring the relationship between social purpose and profit from a human capital standpoint

2) to provoke thought about the role of the investor as an agent of change and the value that is inherent to it.

Sabrina El-Chibini, Founder & President of The Collaboration Vector Inc. (TCV), is the originator of Transformative Community InvolvementTM, a unique and proven approach that is inspiring reflection about the way companies interact with their communities.  Sabrina supports clients in transforming their community investment programs through engagement of internal and external stakeholders, alignment with the UN SDGs, and implementation of social and business impact plans and measures.  Sabrina has extensive experience in the private, non-profit, and public sectors and has facilitated 13 private/non-profit partnerships in 12 countries that align with 4 of the 17 SDGs.  Sabrina was nominated for the Royal Bank of Canada’s Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for last 3 consecutive years.
